The Atlanta Falcons signed Kirk Cousins as a free agent this off-season to be the starting quarterback. Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles last season. They also drafted Michael Penix Jr. in the first round of the NFL draft. Well, it looks like from the tape that Penix might have been a pretty good idea to take after you see the tape on the Kirk Cousin throws.

As you can see, he cannot plant his foot to make accurate passes. That is probably because of his Achilles and not being confident in putting pressure on it yet. And in reality, we should have seen this coming. Cousins is a 36-year-old QB coming off huge surgery to repair his Achilles. And Cousins, well, he was never mobile in the first place. But now? He basically can't move around the football field. It makes you wonder, did the Falcons, after signing Cousins, see something in the offseason that made them draft Penix? We'll probably never know, but this doesn't look like good news for the Falcons.
