Ja'Marr Chase has a couple of years left on his contract with the Cincinnati Bengals, but that's not stopping Chase from using his leverage to try to become the highest-paid WR in the history of the NFL. Let's start with Bengals head coach Zac Taylor saying that he expects Chase to practice and play in week 1. Then, yesterday at practice, Chase did this:

Well, I wouldn't necessarily call that practicing, and I am sure Chase was trying to prove a point with that move. And well, that got Zac Taylor changing his tune:

Zac Taylor spoke for about 2 minutes on that topic.

It's crazy that the Bengals haven't given Chase that monster extension yet. He has the leverage to become the highest-paid WR in the history of the NFL and most likely, he will get that extension. The deal guidelines are out there with the Justin Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb deals. If you are the Bengals, you probably want to get a deal done before the regular season starts because you can't afford any distractions or for Chase to miss any games.
