The New York Giants lost to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football 20-15 in a game where the Giants failed to get into the end zone and had to settle for five field goals. Giants quarterback Daniel Jones seemed to have a decent game and was able to get the ball to his star receiver Malik Nabers 12 times for 115 yards. But there is a concerning stat about Daniel Jones that could be a sign that the Giants need to find a new quarterback next season. And that's his inability to throw the ball down the field.
Yikes, it seems like anytime the Giants need Daniel Jones to throw the ball down the field, he does not have the ability to do so. Stretching the field is important in the NFL and Daniel Jones simply cannot do it. It seems very likely that Brian Daboll's coaching and Malik Nabers ability to be a game changer are masking all the problems Daniel Jones has.Daniel Jones on passes of 20+ air yards this season:
