Los Angeles Angels' Ben Joyce threw the fastest pitch in the history of the pitch tracking era at 106 miles per hour. Technically, the pitch went 105.5 MPH but rounded to the nearest whole number.

Just an absolute rocket on this pitch. It's pretty insane nowadays that pitchers are reaching these levels of pitches. I remember back in the late 90s and early 2000s that pitchers who threw in the high 90s were considered flamethrowers. Now, we are seeing pitchers hit over 100 MPH consistently.Ā
