Aaron Rodgers Takes A Massive Fall On The NFL Top 100 List

We all know what happened to Aaron Rodgers in 2023. He stepped onto the field in his first season with the New York Jets, in what was a season with high hopes.

Those hopes ended quickly. On his fourth play of the team's drive on Monday Night Football, Aaron Rodgers ruptured his left Achilles. Jets head coach Robert Saleh told reporters on a media call that Tuesday: “He’s out for the year. He needs surgery.”

Obviously, the rumors began, a few of them…. Could Aaron Rodgers pull off the miracle and come back by the end of the year? Or is Rodgers going to retire at 40 years old after an Achilles tear?

Neither happened. The rumors were he had tried to come back, it just didn’t work out. Of course, he also did not retire after thinking about it over the offseason.

Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered another massive drop in NFL Network's list of the top 100 players in the league entering the 2024 season.

Two years removed from a second consecutive third-place finish, Rodgers fell from No. 51 in 2023 to 92nd this year.

Knowing Rodgers, he is ready to prove everyone wrong, but it’s surely got to be an uphill battle at his age and after a brutal injury like that.
